How it works
submeet.it helps a group agree on a meeting time in a few taps. Instead of marking when you’re free, you mark when you’re busy — and the times that work for everyone appear automatically. Here’s the full flow.
Create an event
Give your event a name, pick the candidate dates, and choose the daily time range to consider (for example, 9am to 10pm). There's no sign-up — you go straight to the grid.
Mark when you're busy
Drag across the grid to block out the times you can't make. Everything you leave untouched counts as free. That's the whole idea: you only record the times that don't work, which is usually a much shorter list.
Share the link
Copy your event's link and send it to the group over any chat app. Anyone who opens it can add their own availability under their name — no account needed on their end either.
Read the result
As people respond, the grid fills in to show how many are free in each slot, with the best overlapping times standing out. You can hover (or press and hold on mobile) any cell to see exactly who is available then.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. submeet.it works entirely without registration. You never provide an email or password to use it — the only optional password is a per-response one described below.
When do I need a password?
Setting a password is optional. It simply lets you come back and edit your own availability later without anyone else overwriting it. If you don't set one, your response is still saved — you just won't have edit protection.
What is a schedule ID?
When you fill in your availability, you can save it under a schedule ID and reuse it in a future event instead of re-entering the same busy times. It's a convenience for people who tend to have a recurring weekly schedule.
Why mark busy times instead of free times?
Confirming every free slot means scanning your entire calendar. Recalling the few blocks you already have plans for is faster and less error-prone. submeet.it treats untouched time as available, so the group's common free time appears on its own.
How is this different from when2meet?
The core idea is the same — a shared availability grid — but submeet.it is built around marking unavailable time rather than available time, works cleanly on mobile with touch, and requires no setup to start.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The grid is designed for touch: press and drag to mark busy times, and press and hold a cell to see who's free at that time.
How long is my data kept?
Event and availability data is retained while the event is in use. You can ask us to delete an event or your response at any time by emailing dev@submeet.it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How much does it cost?
It's free. submeet.it is supported by ads so the scheduling features can stay free for everyone.
